I believe in your ability to heal

I know that therapy is uncomfortable. Honestly, who wants to talk about hard stuff with someone they just met? And yet every day I get to witness people’s strength and bravery. Getting to watch people come out healthier and happier on the other side is what reminds me why this work is so valuable.

I’m a new mom with a penchant for reading young adult fantasy books. Power lifting is my favorite pastime and I have been known to use lifting metaphors in my sessions. They’re inspiring, you just don’t know it, yet. ;-)

Whether working with teens or adults, I get excited about teaching how self compassion can actually help us attain our goals. In my practice I use a blend of mindfulness, Gestalt, and Cognitive Behavioral approaches to create a safe space to explore thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that might be adding to your discomfort or pain. I believe that each of us knows what we need to be able to live the life we want, but sometimes there is just too much "noise" in the world drowning it out.

My approach to therapy is to respect your inner knowledge and give you an opportunity to explore without all that noise. It's time every week that you can focus on coming back to center, and making choices that are in line with where you want to be in your life. This stuff is hard work, you don't need to do it alone.
