Hi, I’m Becca.

I’m a new mom with a penchant for reading young adult fantasy books. Power lifting is my favorite pastime and I enjoy pretending that I know how to knit.

Whether working with teens or adults, I get excited about teaching how self compassion can actually help us attain our goals. In my practice I use a blend of mindfulness, Gestalt, and Cognitive Behavioral approaches to create a safe space to explore thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that might be adding to your discomfort or pain. I tailor my approach to each person I work with, because when it comes to feeling better, there is no one size fits all.

I will encourage you to make choices that are in line with where you want to be in your life, both by dealing with the here and now, and addressing the past stuff as needed. This stuff is hard work, you don't need to do it alone.

I have a degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of New Mexico and a Master's degree in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University. I have extensive experience working with trauma, the effects of domestic violence, anxiety, relationship challenges and substance use issues.
